Environmental Education

Countryside Montessori School helps students understand the importance of care for the environment through curriculum enhancements, everyday activities in and out of the classroom as well as special projects throughout the year. Outdoor campus gardens include a fully-functioning greenhouse and herb, flower, butterfly, vegetable and peace gardens. Countryside participates in school-wide recycling and rainwater collection. In addition, students participate in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Adopt-A-Stream program and the Greenway project.
